The James Beard Awards are among the nation’s most prestigious culinary honors, honoring those who create exceptional food, food media content, and better food systems, while demonstrating a commitment to racial and gender equity, community, sustainability and a culture where everyone can thrive. Dorchester’s Comfort Kitchen is a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant. They have previously appeared on WCVB’s Chronicle, CityLine and NewsCenter 5’s EyeOpener. Boston’s Haley Henry Wine Bar and Somerville’s Rebel Rebel are competing for James Beard Awards in the Outstanding Wine and Other Beverage Program category.
