Jaipur: Failing quality tests, 15 drugs produced by 14 pharmaceutical companies have been excluded from the state. The companies were supplying medicines to Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation (RMSC) for distribution under the state’s free medicines scheme. Tests determined that the medications were not of standard quality. RMSC Managing Director Neha Giri said M/s JPEE Drugs Pediatric Vitamin A Oral Solution (Vitamin A Oil Concentrate), M/s Angiplast Private Limited Catheter Size 10, M/s In Swift Limited (Unit-III) Calcium Tablets with Vitamin D USP/Calcium Cholecalciferol Tablets BP/Calcium Vitamin D3 Tablets (Elemental Calcium 500 mg, Vitamin D3-250 IU) and M/s Alliance It was found that Calcium Tablet Biotech’s levocetirizine 5 mg was of inferior quality. Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets 500 mg plus 125 mg produced by M/s Astam Healthcare Pvt. Limited. Ltd, anti-blood group B serum (anti B monoclonal serum) produced by Meril Diagnostic Pvt. Limited. Ltd., Biphasic Isophane Insulin Injection 40 IU/ml (R-DNA Origin) produced by Cadila Pharmaceuticals has been banned for a limited time. M/s Wings Biotech and M/s Scott Edil Pharmacia Ltd have been asked not to supply metformin. Hcl and Glimepiride tablets Metformin Hcl-500 mg, Glimepiride-1 mg. Medipol Pharmaceuticals India Pvt Ltd has been banned from supplying domperidone oral drops 10 mg/ml (10 ml). Clomiphene Tab-50 mg from Alliance Biotech and cough syrup/expectorant from Rivpra Formulation, as well as paracetamol tab-500 mg produced by Mercury Laboratories Ltd have also been excluded. Pantoprazole-40 mg and Domperidone-30 of .ION Health Care Private Limited and M/s Agron Remedies Pvt Ltd’s Vitamin D Tablet Calcium USP/Calcium and Cholecalciferol Tablet BP/Calcium and Vitamin-D3 Tablet were found to be substandard.
