Miss World 2024: Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova wins crown, says ‘something I was working on for so long’

Krystyna Pyszkova, originally from the Czech Republic, won the coveted title of Miss World in the 71st edition of the esteemed pageant. Speaking passionately about her victory, Ella Krystyna expressed her deep gratitude and stated that her road to this victory had been long and dedicated.

“Words cannot express how excited I am to be here today and share my emotions. This has been a dream I have pursued tirelessly for so long,” she said while addressing the media.

Emphasizing her commitment to her project, Krystyna highlighted its importance as a lifelong mission and expressed confidence that the Miss World platform would enable her to raise awareness and extend help to numerous underprivileged children.

The crowning moment unfolded amid a grand ceremony attended by showbiz luminaries including Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Mukesh Ambani, Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui and actress Rubina Dilaik, with Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska of Poland conferring the crown on Krystyna. .

Competing against representatives from over 110 countries, Krystyna emerged victorious, and Lebanon’s Yasmina Zaytoun secured the first runner-up spot.

Krystyna, who is currently studying law at Charles University in Prague, dedicates her time to volunteering at the Sonta Foundation in Tanzania, where she provides English education to disadvantaged children. Her interest in music is evident, as she spent nine years honing her skills at an art academy.

The official Miss World Instagram account announced Krystyna’s victory with a celebratory photo, welcoming her to the Miss World family and extending congratulations.

The Jio World Convention Center in BKC hosted the pageant, which featured a panel of distinguished judges. They included film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Bennett CEO Vineet Jain, Coleman & Co. Limited, Julia Morley, President and CEO of Miss World Organization, Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner and Host – Miss World India, and three former Miss World including Manushi Chhillar of India.

The event was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, with electrifying performances by Shaan, Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar adding to the spectacle.
