Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna recently criticized Ranveer Singh while responding to speculations about his portrayal of ‘Shaktimaan’ in an upcoming action film. The veteran actor took to social media to refute reports of Ranveer’s casting as ‘Shaktimaan’ and shared a post on his Instagram account. Mukesh shared a collage featuring him and Ranveer Singh, accompanied by a long caption on his Instagram account. It said, “There are rumors on social media that Ranveer Singh would play ‘Shaktimaan’. And everyone was angry about it. I remained silent. But when channels started announcing that Ranveer had signed, I had to speak up. And “I have said that no matter how big a star is, a person with that image can never become ‘Shaktimaan’. I have stood firm. Now let’s see what happens next.” Mukesh also condemned Ranveer’s nude photoshoot for Paper magazine and uploaded a video on his YouTube channel. Expressing his disapproval, Mukesh emphasized that such behavior goes against Indian cultural values. He said: “If you are comfortable with nudity, then you should go to countries where you can do nude scenes in every third scene. I have told the producers that their competition is not with Spider-Man, Batman, Captain Planet. Shaktimaan is not just a superhero, he has also become a super teacher. Now, the actor who takes up the role must have the quality that when he speaks, people listen to him. There are great actors, but his image is in the half”. Mukesh gained prominence for his role as Bhishma Pitamah in BR Chopra’s television series ‘Mahabharat’.
