The play-off phase of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League It’s finally here. Four of the best teams in the competition remain, hoping to lift the coveted title at the end of the tournament. Pakistan Super League Season 9 Qualifier 1 will be played between Sultans of Multan (MUL) and Peshawar Zalmi (PSE) at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday, March 14, 2023.
Multan Sultans finished the league phase of the competition in first place with seven wins in ten matches. Usman Khan and Mohammad Rizwan have been in stellar form with the bat for the Sultans. Both batsmen are currently among the top five run-getters in the competition so far. Mohammad Ali and Usama Mir have been the stars with the ball so far and can be lethal in destroying the opposition’s batting. The only concern for the Sultans would be that they have lost both their matches against Peshawar this season, and it would be something that would be on the players’ minds before the match.
Peshawar Zalmi also arrives at the competition full of confidence after finishing second with six wins after ten games. Their captain Babar Azam has been leading them from the front as he is the top scorer of the tournament so far. Bowling is a bit of a problem for the Peshawar team as none of their players feature among the best wicket-takers in the competition.
