Meanwhile, UP Warriorz have had a completely contrasting start to the campaign, having lost both matches they have played so far. In the first match, they failed to score 16 runs in the last two overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore even after having four wickets in hand. The Alyssa Healy-led team ultimately lost by two runs. In their second game, they were impressed by Delhi Capitals, who chased a target of 120 runs with nine wickets and 33 balls to spare.

Until now in the WPL 2024, M Chinnaswamy Stadium has not had the kind of high-scoring surfaces it is known for. Teams have struggled to score runs and there has also been a lack of intent to score runs from most teams, especially on the power play. Both teams have some explosive batsmen in their ranks and if they can make good use of the new hard ball and field restrictions in the powerplay, there is a good chance of seeing scores above 170.
