WASHINGTON, March 19, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — NASA on Tuesday released the first episode of a new six-part podcast series for first-time space explorers to learn about the Sun. Ahead of April’s total solar eclipse, NASA’s Sol + Eclipse series is It will focus on the sphere filled with swirling magnetic fields and explosions of hot gases.

In April 8, 2024a total plot eclipse will cross North Americapassing over Mexico, the United Statesand Canada. More than 32 million people will have the opportunity to witness a phenomenon that the continental United States will not see again for 20 years.

The series will delve into the cultural connections and historical significance of solar studies. Listeners can prepare firsthand for the solar eclipse with information from NASA experts along the path to totality. The series offers insights into the research of NASA scientists, first-hand accounts from “eclipse chasers,” and how the agency protects astronauts and spacecraft during solar activity.

The series is part of NASA’s Curious Universe podcast. In each episode, the presenters padi boyd and Jacob Pinter, brings listeners closer to scientific and space adventures.
