OnePlus 12 is getting new AI-powered generative features in this country | Top Vip News

[ad_1]

Every year, there is one industry trend that smartphones follow, and this year it is the inclusion of generative AI features. The AI trend was driven by Samsung, with its Galaxy S24 series, and now, more flagships from rival companies will soon get these features. One of those phones is the OnePlus 12.

While OnePlus 12 may not have launched with any major AI features despite having high-end hardware in the form of Snapdragons 8 Gen 3, the company is launching an update to bring generative AI features to its ColorOS in China .

As stained By Mishaal Rahman Both the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12 have received a new update that brings new AI features to potentially compete with rivals like Samsung. There are several new AI features, including an AI summary which, as the name suggests, helps you generate call summaries and other key information from your phone calls.

Another feature mentioned in the changelog is a tool that lets you erase objects from your images, similar to what you get with the Google Pixel’s Magic Eraser.

There’s also an update to Breeno Touch, which allows your phone to recognize on-screen content and provide contextual suggestions.

Would these features be released for global variants with Oxygen OS?

It’s unclear whether OnePlus will limit these features to its models in China or also bring them to global markets, where it ships its devices with Oxygen OS instead of ColorOS, such as the United States and India. However, this is a step in the right direction considering that Samsung, being one of the biggest competitors, already has most of these features. These features would certainly help it compete better in China and globally when implemented.
