After Prince William canceled his appearance at a tribute to his late godfather, King Constantine II of Greece Due to a “personal matter,” the royal family shared how their wife of 10 years is doing, more than a month away from undergoing a procedure.
As a statement from Kensington Palace obtained by NBC News stated on February 27: “The Princess of Wales, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, remains well.”
At the end of January, Kate was discharged after a two-week hospital stay following the procedure. At the time, the Palace shared that Kate had “returned to her home in Windsor to continue recovering from surgery. She is progressing well.”
While the Palace shared that William, who shares children Prince George10, princess charlotte8, and Prince Louis5 years old, with Kate—had originally planned to reduce his duties while she recovers, the 41-year-old resumed some of his commitments after his father, King Charles IIIannounced his cancer diagnosis in early February.
