The season finale of Percy Jackson and the Olympians pays tribute to the late actor Lance Reddick, who played Zeus in the Disney+ series.

As reported by Deadline, the season 1 finale credits begin with a title card that reads, “In memory of Lance Reddick.” The actor, who was also known for his roles in John Wick and The Wire, died suddenly of natural causes on March 17.

His appearance in Percy Jackson will be one of his last performances, as his death occurred shortly after production wrapped.

Original author Rick Riordan was one of several who paid tribute to Reddick after his death, saying that “his seriousness and regal bearing made him perfect for the king of the gods.”

In addition to his film and television appearances, Reddick was also known as a video game fan and appeared in several, including the Destiny and Horizon franchises.

Players of the former gathered at Destiny’s hub, The Tower, to honor Reddick, while the latter included an in-game tribute within its Burning Shores expansion for Horizon: Forbidden West.
