Andriy Lunin—6: He didn’t face a single shot in the first half. He was used as an outlet to break Girona’s pressure and at times he took a while to get the ball off his foot, including a wayward pass to Tchoaumeni in the opening minutes. Good save at the beginning of the second half to cut off a dangerous center from Miguel.
Lucas Vázquez—8: Lower Toni Kroos’ big diagnostic switches effortlessly. He defended well against Savio, one of the best wingers in the league (he leads the league in 1v1 dribbles). There is no better backup on the market.
Dani Carvajal—7: First appearing as a left centre-back with his teammate Tchouameni as a right centre-back.
Tchouameni—7: Height was decisive in some aerial duels and clearances within the area. Great distribution at the back, quick and precise passes to his teammates up front.
Ferland Mendy—7: Another good display, choosing his moment to carry the ball and beat the pressure and another moment to pass without pressure. He kept Tsga very quiet.
Eduardo Camavinga—8: He often helped double down on Yan Cuoto in transition. He and Valverde covered a lot of ground. He broke through in the 20th minute in an individual moment with the ball and caused a foul just outside the area and Juanpe almost conceded a penalty.

Key moment for a key player. Later in the first half, Bellingham sets up the second goal with a pass from outside the boot. He tormented Yan Cuoto all night and his dribbling of the ball was second to none. The skill shown in the third goal was incredible. He won the ball from Yan Cuoto for the fourth goal: it involved all the goals. He left the game with a great ovation from his beloved Santiago Bernabéu.
Rodrygo—8: More of a right back in this game with defensive responsibilities to follow Miguel’s runs. It was fun to see the movement and dynamic play between Rodrygo-Bellingham-Vini. He connected well with a Tchouameni cross that almost converted a header. He finally got the goal on the hour mark with a sensational solo run through the center of the field, starting in the middle of the field and entering the box.
Judas Bellingham—9: He played as number 9, in the center and leading the press from above. He played the decoy on Vinicius’ first goal to help create additional space for the Brazilian by pinning Eric Garcia. He scored two great goals: one on the run from deep in the box, beating the goalkeeper off the dribble. The second, a great goal from a poacher that found the rebound after a brilliant run by Vinicius. He had to come off injured and hopefully as a precaution ahead of the UCL clash against Leipzig.
Substitutions:
Brahim Díaz—7: He played on the right wing and moved Rodrygo to the center after Jude’s injury. He showed exceptional control with the first touch of him in the air. He uses his body well to get ahead of defenders and draw fouls.
Joselu—6: He replaced Rodrygo and played as a traditional striker. He took the penalty in the 90th minute and hit the post.
Luka Modric—6: He replaced Toni Kroos in midfield around the 70th minute.
Fran García—7: He defended well against Savio in the last 15 minutes of the game. He went up the field and made a good cut for Brahim Díaz. He selfishly took a bad shot at the end of the game when Brahim released him.
Arda Güler—7: Finally, he made his debut at the Santiago Bernabéu. He won a penalty with a quick skill inside the area and caused a foul from Yan Cuoto who had a nightmare.
