Preity Zinta shares a long-lasting bond with Bobby Deol that spans over 25 years. In 1998, Preity starred opposite Bobby in Abbas-Mustan’s action thriller Soldier, which was the first film she signed as an actress. Now, the actor has wished his old friend on his 55th birthday. On Saturday, Preity took to her Instagram account and shared an original photo with Bobby. She can be seen wearing a sparkly silver gray dress and a sparkly headband. She poses with Bobby Deol, who is also wearing a sparkly headband with stars. Wearing a blue polka dot shirt, Bobby twins with the guitar he holds.
Preity captioned the post: “Happy birthday dear @iambobbydeol. I wish you a life of happiness, sensuality, good health, success and fun times. I always want to see you happy, my dearest and dearest friend (star eyes emoji). Preity geotagged the post as ‘Mad Place’. Bobby took to the comments section and wrote, “Thank you so much, my Preetam Singh.”
Why Preetam Singh?
Last year, Preity took to her social media to clarify that, contrary to some rumours, her real name is not Preetam Singh. She explained that Bobby gave her the nickname when they were working on Soldier. And the name just stuck.
Preity and Bobby also shared screen space in Shaad Ali’s 2007 musical Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, but the film turned out to be a flop at the box office.
Bobby, who was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, will be next seen in his Tamil debut, Kanguva. Tamil superstar Suriya revealed the first look of Bobby in the film on her birthday.
