Prime Video’s $5M MrBeast Game Show Could Overtake Netflix’s Squid Game

YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) has reached an agreement with Prime Video introduce a new reality competition series called Beast Games. The show will have 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million reward, which the press release says is “the largest single prize in television and streaming history.” There are no details yet on what types of challenges Beast Games the contestants will participate.

It’s a remarkable turn of events, even for someone who has hosted many similar contests on his YouTube channel, such as the recent ones in which people from all countries competed for $250,000 or a group of people from ages 1 to 100 They went head to head for $500,000.

Donaldson will serve as executive producer of Beast Gameswhich will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

Disk reported about rumors about Donaldson’s deal with Prime Video in January.

“On YouTube, I have to make videos around titles and thumbnails,” Donaldson says in an interview in The Colin and Samir show. “But in this program I can do whatever I want. “I can just create good content.” With viewership constantly fluctuating on the platform, Donaldson says he has made some adjustments to his videos to attract more eyeballs to his content, including slowing down the videos and focusing more on storytelling.
