Prince Harry reportedly learned of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis on television.
“It is understood that Kate’s cancer diagnosis was not shared beforehand with Harry and Meghan (Markle),” The UK Times reported Saturday, a day after the Princess of Wales, 42, revealed she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy.
“Multiple sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is believed that Harry learned of Kate’s diagnosis on television, at the same time as the public.”
Upon learning of the diagnosis, the “Spare” author, 39, and the “Suits” alum, 42, issued a brief statement. showing his support for Middleton.
“We wish health and healing for Kate and her family, and hope they can do so privately and peacefully,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said.
The new report from The Times UK comes a day after The Post exclusively reported that the couple were “surprised” by the news about the Princess of Wales’s cancer.
“They had no idea and found out about the news around the same time the rest of the world found out,” a source told us. “This shows the irreparable damage they have caused. Trust has been broken and the royal family is fine distancing itself from them.”
Middleton, who married Prince William in 2011, revealed her diagnosis in a video message on Friday.

“In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous,” he explained. “The surgery was successful. However, tests carried out after the operation revealed that there was cancer.”
The mother of three noted that she is now in the early stages of undergoing “a course of preventative chemotherapy.”
“We hope you understand that as a family we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” he continued, noting that the illness “was a big shock.”
Middleton also said that she and William have been doing their best to “process and manage this privately” for the sake of their children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, out of 5.
“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I hope to return when I can, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery,” he concluded.
