Meghan Markle and Prince Harry chatted with Canadian politicians and celebrities at the Invictus Games One Year to Go dinner in Vancouver on Friday night.
The Sussexes, who recently changed their name with the launch of a sleek new website, dressed glamorously for the glitzy event, where Harry was hailed as a “visionary” in a song performed by Michael Bublé.
Meghan, 42, showed off some shoulders in a strapless olive green dress that highlighted her slender physique.
Harry, 39, complemented his wife by wearing a tie in the same shade of green.
The royals have been in Canada for the last week. preparing for the Invictus Games 2025which will take place in that country next February.
During Friday’s gala, Bublé performed a song he co-wrote with Paul Anka in honor of Harry and sent “healing wishes” to King Charles.
The monarch, 75, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month after being admitted to hospital for an enlarged prostate.
“Who knew, dreams can come true, when life tells you you’re far from over/ Nothing dominates, Invictus Games, you play your way,” Bublé, 48, crooned.
“One man, one life-changing plan, he does everything he can, he’s a visionary/ Our healing wishes for your dad/ You’ve earned every day the right to say, I did it my way,” the song continued.
Harry, founding sponsor of the Invictus Games, also gave a heartfelt speech at the event.
He first thanked the audience “for being here tonight and for their commitment to making the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 possible.”
“When I am with the Invictus community surrounded by so many brave men and women who have served their countries with distinction, I feel honored and at home,” the “Spare” author added.
“This year will mark ten years since the Invictus Games. The last decade has been a testament to the power of resilience and the unbreakable spirit that you all exemplify. And boy have we had fun along the way,” he said.
Earlier on Friday, Harry and Meghan appeared at another Invictus Games promotional event accompanied by Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato.
The trip to Canada came just days after the prince’s visit to see Charles amid his health battle in England on February 6.
