Journalist Dawn Neesom asked Bond if the future king is worried about “history repeating itself” due to “obviously different circumstances,” referring to the death of his mother, Princess Diana. “There must be an underlying anxiety for him,” Bond said.

“If I were him, I’d be thinking ‘why me?’

“If I were him, I’d be thinking ‘why me? This happened when I was 15 years old and now I don’t have my brother, I don’t have my mother, I don’t have my brother. My father has cancer and now my wife, my dear wife, who is my rock and means everything to me and my three children, why now?’” he said.

“He has been quite wrongly criticized for perhaps not carrying out as many public engagements as people demand of him,” Bond continued.

“Well, now we know why. The poor man was obviously silent about it. He continued to smile, meet, greet, encourage other people. “He has been supporting causes and with all this happening in the background, there is incredible pressure on him,” he added.

In a heartbreaking video shared by Kensington Palace, Kate revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving preventive chemotherapy. She broke her silence days after staying out of the public eye, sparking rumors and conspiracy theories.

William will reportedly continue to balance supporting Kate and maintaining his royal duties. He is expected to return to public office after his children return to school after the Easter holidays.

Kate and William will reportedly not attend the royal family’s traditional Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. King Charles, however, hopes to attend with his wife, Queen Camilla.
