Amid reports of Prince Harry possibly resuming his royal duties, Prince William has reportedly closed the door even further on this potential reunion. Royal sources close to the Prince of Wales say he believes he “cannot be trusted” with the Duke of Sussex and his sister-in-law Meghan Markle. Mirror reported that a royal source claimed Prince William would “try” to help his father, King Charles III, if the situation arose.
Royal Family Update: Tensions between Prince William and Harry
When it comes to his brother, there is “no chance” William will let him back in. Although the talks between the heir and the king have been held behind closed doors, Prince William is determined to fulfill his plans related to his brother. “He thought it was a bad idea at the time and now it’s even clearer,” the source said of the Prince of Wales’ consideration of his brother.
The source went on to say that if anyone will be taking on more duties in the future, it will be William. However, these conversations are not even on his agenda as Prince William is more concerned about his father’s health. Returning to tensions between the royal siblings, the source added: “There is a zero per cent chance of Harry returning in any capacity.”

On the other hand, Prince Harry’s recent interview with Good Morning America expressed different plans in the Duke’s mind. On Friday, Harry expressed his love for his family and told GMA that he would give his royal duties another chance “if his father asks for his help.” Another source close to the Duke intervened, stating that this was not something Harry would do of his own free will.
While Prince Harry may be interested in returning to the royal bandwagon given the situation, his brother is not a big fan of this speculation. Although Harry may have had “warm exchanges” with his father during his career in the United Kingdom, friends of Prince Williams have ruled out any kind of friendly development between the brothers.
In a report from Express, another anonymous source shared that Prince William already has a lot on his plate and “just doesn’t have the bandwidth for this.” The Duke of Sussex’s words also conjure up mirror images of what happened in 2020 when the late queen dismissed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “half-in, half-out” approach to royal duties.
On top of that, Harry even addresses his latent desire to seek American citizenship during the Invictus Games weekend in Canada. Regardless of how many sources keep coming forward, the royal family affair just seems to be spinning around with an endless power supply of deja vu moments that only lead to a more agonizing path rather than closure.
