Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas bought their Los Angeles mansion in 2019 for $20 million. They have now filed a lawsuit seeking “consequential damages” from the sellers of the house.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who have been living in their dream house in Los Angeles Since 2019, they moved out of the property after it became “virtually uninhabitable” according to a Page Six report. Water damage to the property led to a mold infestation and the couple is now in a legal battle with the home’s sellers. The damage suffered by the property has made its occupation “dangerous from a health point of view.”
The luxury property with seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, temperature-controlled wine cellar, chef’s kitchen, home theater, bowling alley, spa and steam shower, gym and billiards room, was purchased by the couple for $20 million in 2019 According to the lawsuit, which was filed in May 2023, the pool and spa began having problems shortly after the purchase. Waterproofing problems at the facility led to “fostered mold contamination and related problems.” The complaint also said that around the same time, there was another water leak in the barbecue area on the terrace.

Chopra and Jonas are seeking “consequential damages.” The lawsuit, according to Page Six states: “Alternatively, Plaintiff must be reimbursed for all repair costs, plus compensation for loss of use and other damages caused by Defendants’ conduct.” The report suggests that the cost of repairing the property will exceed $1.5 million and could go up to $2.5 million (approximately Rs 13-20 million).

Meanwhile, Priyanka, Nick and their daughter Malti Marie have moved to another property until their house is repaired. Priyanka and Nick travel around the world for their work, but reside outside of Los Angeles.
Nick was recently in India with his band, Jonas Brothers, when they performed here for the first time. Nick, Kevin and Joe performed at Lollapalooza India, where the the crowd chanted ‘Jiju’ as they welcomed Nick to the stage. The singer-songwriter also performed with King in their collaboration ‘Maan Meri Jaan’.
Priyanka has not appeared in any Hindi film since 2019’s The Sky Is Pink. Priyanka was announced as one of the stars of Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, but the project is yet to begin. In Hollywood, Priyanka will next be seen in Heads of State, with Idris Elba and John Cena.
