The huge success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna set the bar high for the Telugu film industry. The Icon Star gained worldwide recognition and appreciation for his stellar performance as Pushparaj alias Pushpa in the film. While all eyes are on ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ and rumors about the plans for Pushpa 3 are abuzz, recently, Allu Arjun revealed plans for the expansion of the franchise.
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was Allu Arjun’s first pan-India film. In the film, actor Happy played the character of Pushparaj aka Pushpa, a red sandalwood smuggler. The film narrates the story of Pushpa’s rise from being a worker to achieving a rank in the smuggling syndicate. Allu Arjun won the Best Actor award at the Indian National Film Awards. Now, all eyes are on ‘Pushpa: The Rule’.
With each passing day, the anticipation among fans for the sequel skyrockets. Meanwhile, speculations about Pushpa 3 have added fuel to their excitement. However, there was no official confirmation to back up the claims.
But now, Allu Arjun himself confirmed Pushpa 3.
A recent report in Variety quoted Bunny as saying, “You can definitely look forward to the third part, we want to make it a franchise and we have interesting ideas for the lineup.”
Shedding more light on Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun said, “Pushpa 2 will have a very different tone of Pushpa than what you have seen in ‘Pushpa 1’, because it is the lower end of the spectrum that you have seen.”
He also went on to say that audiences will get to see the higher end of the spectrum in terms of characterization. Consequently, Pushpa’s character will be on a very high note and on a high scale, in terms of characterization, scale and presentation. Additionally, the scope of the story’s problems will be much greater than compared to the first installment. The filmmakers have also worked on a different dimension of characterization.
As per the story, Pushpa played on a regional scale in the first part. And now he will play on a national and international level.
He went on to add that police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, played by Fahadh Faasil, emerged as a thorn in Pushpa’s side. The conflict between the duo is going to “escalate to a much larger scale.”
Well, this interesting information shared by Allu Arjun will certainly increase the excitement of everyone who is eagerly waiting for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.
On the work front, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to premiere in theaters on August 15, during the Indian Independence Day holiday. Apart from that, Allu Arjun has some more interesting projects in the pipeline.
