Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended role in his daughter director Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth’s film Lal Salaam. The film is scheduled to premiere this weekend. While fans are eager to see what Rajinikanth and Aishwaryaa have to offer with the film, a new report claims that Rajinikanth has charged a huge sum for the extended cameo. It is claimed that Rajinikanth has a 30-40 minute role in Lal Salaam and charges by the minute.

According to a report by TrackTollywood.com, Rajinikanth received a whopping Rs 40 crore for Lal Salaam. Note: News18 was unable to verify the report at the time of publication. Meanwhile, AR Rahman, at the music launch of the film, also revealed that the Tamil superstar did not act in the film but she also helped in the dialogues of the film.

As reported by Indian Express, Rahman said, “When Aishwarya first told me the story of the film… I thought, ‘This film is going to be boring.’ I thought it would be a sermon. Until I saw the movie… The scenes that I thought would be embarrassing and preachy were handled with great care and were moving. Then I asked him who had written the dialogue for the film and he said, “I wrote it and Appa changed it a little bit.” I realized it was his wisdom. Because he respects everything, he has investigated well and has said many strange things.”

Lal Salaam is a sports drama starring Vishnu and Vikranth in the lead roles, with Rajinikanth playing an extended cameo. Aishwarya emphasized the sensitive nature of the film’s subject and acknowledged that only a person with deep humanity, like his father, would agree to be a part of such a project.

The film, produced by Lyca Productions, will hit theaters on February 9 and will offer audiences a unique cinematic experience. As Aishwarya Rajinikanth passionately defends his father against online criticism, his emotional connection and commitment to meaningful cinema shines through, building anticipation for the release of Lal Salaam.
