Chennai:

Superstar Rajinikanth on Monday said that his daughter Aishwarya did not call ‘Sanghi’ a ‘bad word’ and only expressed her view that he was a spiritual person.

She had said that “dad is a spiritual person who loves all religions and when that is the case, why should the father be described like that (as a Sanghi),” the lead star said.

When asked about the allegations that Aishwarya spoke about the matter to promote the film “Lal Salaam”, he rejected the allegation saying “nothing like that”. The film Lal Salaam is an Aishwarya directorial and will release on February 9. The film’s cast includes Rajinikanth.

‘Sanghi’ is a colloquial term used to describe a right-wing supporter or activist.

Aishwarya’s certain comments about the word and that it was directed at her father had been intensely debated in many circles.
