It is common knowledge that Bollywood director Nitesh Tiwari, who delivered a masterpiece like Dangal, is making a trilogy on the Indian epic Ramayan and the mega biggie features star hero Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, while dancing queen Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita. PAN India star Yash will play the antagonist as Ravana.
The film will be formally announced on the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami on April 17 as per the latest update. What better date can the team find than to announce the project on the birth anniversary of Lord Ram? Nitesh Tiwari and company. Filming will begin in Mumbai this month, but the formal announcement will be made in April.
Plans are being made to release the first part of this tentpole project during the Diwali weekend of 2025. Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh and Lara Dutta play Lord Hanuman, Shurpanaka and Kaikeyi respectively. Casting for the role of Lakshman is yet to be completed.
