Actor Rashami Desai has criticized the new advertisement on men’s sexual health, which features Ranveer Singh and adult film star Johnny Sins. On his Instagram Stories on Monday, Rashami reshared the announcement, originally posted by a paparazzo account. What Rashami said
The actor wrote: “I started my work in a regional film industry. And then he started working in the television industry. People call it small screen. Where normal people watch news, cricket, all #Bollywood movies and much more. After watching this video, which is very unexpected, I felt that it is a humiliation for the entire television industry and for the people who work in television.”
Rashami says Ranveer’s announcement ‘feels like a slap’
Then he added: “Because we were always made to feel smaller and treated as such. Actors also want to work on the big screen, that’s exactly how they treat us. Everyone is working hard. But sorry, the TV show pe sab nahi dikhate (people don’t show it). All of this happens on the big screen. And there’s nothing wrong with showing some reality, but this is really a check for the entire television industry because I feel like it’s a slap in the face.”
Rashami concluded her note: “Maybe I’m exaggerating, but we show culture and love to our audience. And I’m hurt because I have a respectful journey in the television industry. I hope you understand the emotion (clasped hands emoji).. #msorryfornotbeinglorry “
Ranveer’s announcement
Ranveer Singh on Monday shared the ad also starring Johnny Sins. Sharing the announcement on his Instagram, Ranveer wrote, “It’s bold to worry.” The advertisement is a comical parody of a typical Indian television drama. The entire cast, including Ranveer and Johnny, are dressed in traditional clothes. Ranveer’s announcement with Johnny has been trending on the internet ever since the actor posted it online. Several television stars praised the advertisement, including Nakuul Mehta and Karan Kundrra.
