Ever since Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna acted in the 2018 film Geetha Govindam and the 2019 film Dear Comrade, fans have been curious to know if their on-screen chemistry was because the two were dating off-screen as well. ‘I follow your advice for everything’
Rashmika spoke about her co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor and Allu Arjun, but her answer about Vijay caught everyone’s attention. “Viju and I grew up together. So whatever I do in my life right now, he has a contribution,” she said, adding that he takes his advice very seriously. “I take advice from him in everything I do, I need his opinion. He is not a yes person. He is right. This is good… this is not good… this is what I think… this is what I don’t think. He has supported me personally more than anyone in my entire life. So, I feel like he is someone I really respect.”
Vijay shuts down engagement rumors
In a recent interview with Asian lifestyle, Vijay put paid to rumors that he and Rashmika were getting engaged in February. “I will not get engaged or married in February. It seems like the press wants to marry me every two years. I hear this rumor every year. They are just walking around hoping to catch me and marry me,” he said.
A source close to the actors also informed Hindustan Times, “Well, there is no truth in all those claims. They are very reserved people. So far they have not made their romance public, leaving some hints that make people wonder about their bond. The claim that they sought a big reveal and got engaged is false because that is very different from their personalities.”
Upcoming jobs
Rashmika has numerous films lined up including Pushpa 2, Rainbow, The Girlfriend, an untitled film with Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh in Telugu and Chaava in Hindi. She was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal with Ranbir Kapoor as her co-star. Some people criticized her performance while others thought she played the role well.
