Robert Irwin He’s incredibly active on social media, meaning his followers tend to form bonds with the creatures that appear in his feeds. Unfortunately, the animal conservationist recently had a sad update to share.
On Friday, February 23, Irwin, the son of Teresa Irwin and the afternoon Steve Irwin-brought to Tik Tok with a video about a chicken.
“This is very sad news,” he began. “Unfortunately, our beautiful little chick, Nacho, who I know you all fell in love with and loved very much, sadly passed away. She was a beautiful old lady with many wonderful years, and we are really, really, very sad to lose her.”
Irwin paired his disappointing news with a positive update. “But we wanted to announce that we have some new members of the Irwin chicken family that I will be introducing to you for the first time,” she explained.
Irwin proceeded to show off two new chickens. “So this here is Waffles, the one who’s very confident,” she shared. “He loves to fly, as you can see.”
The 20-year-old continued: “And this little one here, Mochi, well, she’s a little mellower.”
A third chicken named Cindy “prefers to stay out of the public eye” and did not appear on camera. “It’s okay. It’s okay, you’re okay, Cindy,” she assured him.

In the comments, TikTok users reacted to the news of Nacho’s death and the presentation of the Irwin family’s new chickens.
