Robert Lewandowski has spoken about Barcelona’s improvement and has attributed it to a change in intensity during training.
The striker scored and received two assists on Sunday night as Barça, after a good Champions League victory over Napoli, beat Atlético Madrid.
After the match, Lewandowsi was asked what has changed recently at Barça to improve performance and results.
This is what he had to say:
“What has changed? I think the training now is a little different, more intense and we are better prepared physically,” she stated.
“I also feel better and I think my teammates do too. We have to continue like this after the break. It’s time to take a step forward.”
Lewandowski also spoke about how he needs to help the team’s young players, with Héctor Fort, Lamine Yamal, Fermín López and Marc Casado present on Sunday.
“I know I have to help and support the young players, but I also need them to help me by passing the ball to me or sending crosses to me,” he added.
“The most important thing is to continue playing like today. We know how we can play, we have great potential with great players. “A great squad that combines young people with older players.”
The Barcelona striker will join the Polish striker during the international break. His team will face Estonia in the Euro 2024 playoff.
