Logan Paul’s last match in WWE was in a bit of a rough spot, one of only four to take place tonight (Sat., Jan. 27, 2024). Real battle premium live event at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. With two Royal Rumbles and Roman Reigns’ final WWE Universal Championship title defense, Paul’s battle with Kevin Owens for the United States Title was on.
Still, the performer known as The Maverick, at least in WWE, has made money every other time he’s been in the ring, regardless of the opponent. Working opposite a professional like KO, surely that would ring true again.
Even if you don’t know it, they had a good match with a creative ending.
At the end of the match, Paul landed the big hit but Owens kicked him. It was then that he asked for reinforcements but the referee caught him and the security came in to take away his entourage. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory ran in at that moment and Theory grabbed the brass knuckles and handed them to Paul.
KO managed to avoid them, grab them and use them himself. He went for the pin, and the referee…stopped at two, because he saw the brass knuckles still on Owens’ fingers.
He disqualified him.
Of course, it couldn’t end like that, with Owens putting him through a table to stay upright and finish the segment. A small victory, after the defeat of the match.
