SAG Awards 2024 Winners: The Complete List

“Oppenheimer” and “The Bear” were among the top winners at Saturday’s 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, an industry awards show with only acting categories that often gives a glimpse of possible Academy Awards outcomes.

The ceremony, held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles and broadcast live on Netflix for the first time, honored the best film and television performances of 2023. Winners are chosen by the union’s members, who number more than 119,000, according to SAG Awards website.

This year’s SAG Awards are the first since members went on strike for 118 days last year and ended a contract with more than 350 production companies that promised increased wages, better working conditions and protections against the threat of Artificial intelligence in performances.

The Life Achievement Award, announced before the ceremony, was presented to Barbra Streisand. She received a standing ovation for her acceptance speech, in which she talked about why she decided to pursue her dreams despite not looking like other film actresses at the time.

“That fantasy world was much more enjoyable than anything I was experiencing. I didn’t like reality,” she said. “…It is truly a privilege to be part of this profession.”
