Salman Khan said that despite giving two hits to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he chose Shah Rukh Khan for his next film.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrates his birthday today, February 24. Throughout his illustrious career, he has worked with numerous Bollywood stalwarts like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, among others. Now an old video of Salman Khan has resurfaced on Reddit in which he talked about being “offended” that the director cast SRK in his films after Salman hit him twice.
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a history of offending people’s sensibilities, Salman said, “I don’t know about other people, but he has definitely offended me. I gave him two successful films and then he cast Shah Rukh Khan in his next.” Watch the video here:

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan have worked together in Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Khamoshi was also Sanjay’s first directorial film. A few years ago, it was reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali would reunite with Salman Khan for Inshallah. The film was also supposed to star Alia Bhatt in the lead role. However, the project stalled due to creative differences between Sanjay and Salman.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently gearing up for the release of his web series, HeeraMandi. The historical drama series transports audiences to a time when courtesans reigned as monarchs. Through the stories of courtesans and their clients, against the turbulent backdrop of India’s struggle for independence in the 1940s, the series investigates the cultural reality of the eponymous area of Heera Mandi.
After this, the filmmaker will take a break from his period films. He recently roped in Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor for a film called Love And War. While not much is known about the project, it is reported that it will be a love story and not a period drama.
