Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced her hiatus from acting after wrapping up filming for Citadel India in July 2023.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to work after being diagnosed with myositis. On Saturday, the actress took to her Instagram stories and posted a video in which she announced that she is “back to work.” Samantha shared that she was “completely unemployed” since she announced that she would be taking a break from acting. Additionally, the Kushi actress shared details of her next project and revealed that she will be working on a health podcast.
“Yes, I’m finally going back to work. But other than that, in the meantime, he was completely unemployed. But I’m doing something fun with a friend. It’s a health podcast. It’s quite unexpected, but it’s something I really love. I’m really passionate about it and I’m really excited for it to be released next week. I hope some of you actually find it extremely useful. And I think I have enjoyed doing this (sic),” he said.
Samantha announced her hiatus from acting after wrapping up the shoot of Citadel India in July 2023. Back then, the actress took to her Instagram account to announce the same and shared that she will prioritize her health in the coming months. “And it is a summary of #CitadelIndia. A break doesn’t seem bad at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed Thank you for helping me fight every battle and never giving up on me… I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of your life… that is, until you write me the next one☺️♥️”, he had written.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Kushi. The romantic drama also starred Vijay Deverakonda.
Samantha will next be seen in the Indian version of Citadel, which also stars Varun Dhawan. It is directed by Raj and DK and the team is staying tight-lipped about its plot. However, last year, Priyanka Chopra spoke about the Indian remake of her show and revealed that the stories are connected to each other. He further mentioned that he can’t wait to see Raj and DK’s work.
