Samantha Ruth Prabhu admitted that she didn’t feel very confident but decided to do Oo Antava because she wanted to explore something new.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu set the dance floor on fire when she appeared in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise with the song ‘Oo Antava’. In a recent interview, Samantha spoke about filming the song when she revealed that it was very “uncomfortable” for her as an actress. She recalled that her legs were shaking while she was filming the song and went on to say that it was “very difficult.”

“I’ve always operated from a space of ‘I’m not good enough, I don’t feel pretty, I don’t look like other girls.’ So for me it was a great challenge. It was actually the first take of “Oo Antava”… I was shaking with fear because sexy is not my thing. It is not mine. But what I have grown as an actor and as a person is that I always made sure to put myself in the most uncomfortable, unforgiving and very difficult circumstances,” Samantha said during the India Today Conclave.

The actress admitted that she didn’t feel very confident but decided to do Oo Antava because she wanted to explore something new. “I think, for me, it was the lyrics. It was a challenge. And I think we can stop judging women for wanting to look good. We can do everything. We can look good,” she said.

However, when asked if she would do a dance number again in the future, Samantha made it clear that she never would. “No, I don’t see the challenge in it anymore,” she said.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Pushpa 2: The Rule is currently underway. The film, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, will hit theaters on August 15 this year.

On the other hand, Samantha was last seen in Kushi. The romantic drama also starred Vijay Deverakonda. Samantha will next be seen in the Indian version of Citadel, which also stars Varun Dhawan and is directed by Raj and DK.
