Recalling those good days of 2012, Reddy shares, “Today I am everything I am because of him. I was spotted and picked. I was a kid with no aspirations and didn’t know what I was doing, but somehow he became a part of this cult song, it is one of his biggest hits. It was a privilege and an honor that I was a part of it,” adding: “I remember meeting him at a party after a few years of its release, when I became an actress, I walked up to him, bowed and said : ‘People saw me thanks to you, I am who I am thanks to you.’ He was so moved and pleased. He had such a warm and humble personality. He smiled and said, “It was just because of your hard work.” I feel like sometimes you just have to be chosen and I think that song chose me and even today people remember that song.”

“I was very nervous when I met him, I was shaking and very scared because it was the first time I was in front of the camera. I remember thinking, ‘What have I gotten myself into?’ But he was just smiling through it all. He was so relaxed and never felt intimidated by being a senior, there was no pressure,” Reddy tells us.

The 45-year-old can’t help but share the importance of the song even today. “Even today I know that when that song starts, my entire generation comes together in solidarity. It is nostalgia, it unites emotions and people. I will never be able to forget it and I am indebted,” he jokes.

“For years, when I met him later, he was always very rooted. No one will forget him. He is a legend and his music will be forever,” says Reddy, his voice cracking as he remembers the late legend.
