SRK’s latest release Dunki is now streaming on the digital platform in Hindi audio along with English subtitles. Although the film was rumored to release on Jio Cinema, the film has already arrived on Netflix and we need to see if it will also come to the other platform.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who introduced some of the greatest artists of Indian cinema. Compared to Hirani’s other works, audiences felt that Dunki was not great and it also received mixed reviews from critics. But SRK’s star power helped the film earn Rs 470 crore gross at the global box office. In India, the film grossed around Rs 220 crore nett.
Dunki is about how a soldier helped his friends arrive illegally in the UK. Taapsee Pannu played the female lead. The excellent performer Vicky Kaushal shone in a pivotal cameo. Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani produced this comedy-drama under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover played other important roles.
