“Don’t even worry about it,” Gillis continued. “Honestly, I probably shouldn’t be up here. She should be home. “I should be a high school football coach.”

Gillis’ massive eight-minute monologue included several snippets of his “anti-woke” routine, which included jokes about his father being a high school girls’ basketball coach and about little boys being “their mom’s gay best friend.” .

The monologue also included a clip in which Gillis said she “dodged” having Down syndrome like her niece.

“My family and I opened a coffee shop in my hometown for people with Down syndrome to work in and he said, ‘Don’t clap!’ Gillis said. “It’s going exactly how you think it would go. Actually, it’s still okay… Not because there are a lot of people getting good service. Everyone is drinking apple juice. “We don’t know how to solve that problem.”

In the lead-up to his debut on the iconic late-night show, Gillis reportedly spent the entire week working on his material at local Manhattan comedy clubs.

“Look, I don’t have any material that could be on television, okay?” she bleated desperately. “I’m doing my best. Plus, this place is very well lit. I can see everyone’s not enjoying it. This is the most nervous I’ve ever been.”

Gillis’ bumbling return to the comedy show comes after he was fired from the cast in 2019 when he was heard spewing several racial and homophobic slurs on an episode of “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast.”

Had he taken his place in the hallowed halls of “SNL,” Gillies would have starred in the show’s 45th season alongside funnyman Bowen Yang, who is the show’s first gay Asian cast member to join the show. NBC/SNL

According to decideGillis’ video, since deleted, also contained the Pennsylvania native mocking the Chinese accent.

“After speaking with Shane Gillis, we have decided that he will not be joining SNL,” a spokesperson for the show said at the time. “We want SNL to have a variety of voices and points of view within the show, and we hired Shane because of his talent as a comedian and his impressive audition for SNL.”

“The language he used is offensive, hurtful and unacceptable,” the statement continued. “We regret that we did not see these clips sooner and that our investigation process was not up to our standards.”
