Shannen Doherty shares ‘miraculous’ update on cancer battle: ‘Hope is always there’

Shannen Doherty has shared a breakthrough in her battle with cancer that she describes as a “miracle.”

The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, who has stage 4 breast cancer, said the results of recent treatment have given her new hope for the future.

“I’m not going to say what it is, I’m taking a new anti-cancer infusion and after four treatments, we didn’t really see a difference and everyone wanted me to change, and I just said, ‘Us.’ “I’ll continue with this and see,” he told his radiation oncologist, Dr. Amin Mirhadi, on Monday’s episode of his podcast “Let’s be clear”.

“And yes, after the sixth or seventh treatment, we really saw the blood-brain barrier breaking down.”

Doherty, 52, said his body’s response to the new treatment has been a “miracle”, adding: “For me, that’s a miracle at the moment. That I kind of rolled the dice and said, ‘Let’s move on.'”
