Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin’s explosion was a long time coming.

The actors publicly feuded this week after Stone revealed on Louis Theroux’s podcast that producer Robert Evans told her to have sex with Baldwin during the filming of his 1993 film “Sliver” to improve her dismal on-screen performance. .

But the ugly fight goes back more than 30 years.

During the tense production of the sexually charged thriller, the pair quickly developed a dislike for each other.

“Thin lips, good breath,” Alec Baldwin’s brother Baldwin said after filming a love scene with the “Basic Instinct” star. according to Entertainment Weekly.

The hatred was mutual.

“He’s a boy,” Stone complained, according to “Sliver” screenwriter Joe Eszterhas in his book “American Rhapsody.”

Eszterhas claimed that Stone “wiped her mouth after kissing him or rinsed it with mouthwash. “She bit his tongue during a kiss.”

However, she also wrote that Stone wanted Baldwin to fall in love with her “so hard he wouldn’t know what hit him.”

Stone released a statement at the time saying, “I think it’s very funny. I knew (Joe) was funny, but I didn’t think he could write comedy.”

She clarified the situation in a 2021 interview with the New Yorker, insisting that Baldwin misinterpreted her innocent desire to rehearse as sexual advances.

“When I said to him, ‘Why don’t you come to my trailer and we’ll work on the scenes?’ I don’t think he realized that I really wanted to work on the scenes,” Stone told the outlet. . “They were putting a lot of pressure on both of us about alternative realities.”

But Eszterhas quoted “Sliver” director Phillip Noyce in his 2007 book “The Devil’s Guide to Hollywood” as saying Stone was furious about Baldwin’s casting in the film.

“Billy Baldwin knew that Sharon Stone didn’t want him on ‘Sliver’ and their relationship was always strained,” Noyce said. “I ended up having to photograph a lot of the close-ups of her with only one of them in the room at a time, because they didn’t want to look at each other.”

Eszterhas also claimed that Baldwin called Stone “a hymn to lipstick lesbianism.”

The 1990s feud boiled over this week after Stone alleged that Evans tried to get her into bed with Baldwin to make her performance “better.”

“He called me into his office,” Stone said of the late producer who was once head of Paramount and produced such box-office hits as “The Godfather,” “Chinatown” and “Love Story.”

“And he’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and that I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would improve.”

After the story broke, Baldwin, 61, responded viciously on social media.

“I’m not sure why Sharon Stone is still talking about me all these years later?” the actor began.

“Is she still in love with me or is she still hurt after all these years because I rejected her advances?”

Baldwin also stated that he has a lot of information about the actress.

“I have so much dirt on her it would make your head spin, but I’ve kept quiet,” he continued.

He added: “The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him to let me choreograph the final sex scene in the photo below so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend.”

“I wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, perverted and unprofessional stories about Sharon?” she joked.
