Travis Kelce admitted Monday night that he hasn’t spoken to his girlfriend Taylor Swift since Sunday night’s Grammy Awards.
The Kansas City Chiefs plane landed in Las Vegas to begin preparing for Super Bowl LVIII as Swift won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, Kelce said.
The tight end saw the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer win her first hardware of the night as she regained phone service. However, Kelce said that she hasn’t spoken to Swift since the Grammys because she needed to catch a plane, probably to Tokyo for the Japanese leg of ‘The Eras Tour.’
Kelce’s time at Super Bowl LVIII Media Night included several questions about Swift that were presented to him, including her impact on him and the NFL.
“You can’t put any more pressure on me than I put on myself, I promise you that,” Kelce said Monday. ‘It’s just the heart of a competitor. (Swift) has definitely brought a lot of new faces to the game and it’s been fun to experience that.”
Kelce did not answer whether Swift would be attending Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium or whether she has a private plane to get to the game.
“He seems to be enjoying the games,” Kelce said. ‘She is part of Chiefs Kingdom right now. It’s fun to see her enjoy soccer knowing that it’s something new in her life.
Swift won two Grammy Awards on Sunday, including her record-breaking fourth ‘Album of the Year’ award, bringing her lifetime total to 14 Grammy Awards.
Swift announced a new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ during her first acceptance speech of the night, which Kelce said he had heard part of.
Swift has attended 12 Chiefs games this season, including all three of the Chiefs’ postseason victories.
During the Chiefs’ AFC Championship celebration following their victory over the Ravens, Kelce and Swift were seen kissing and possibly saying “I love you” on the field at M&T Bank Stadium.
