It’s been a tough couple of months for Shreyas Iyer. The batsman was not included in the central contract list of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and his form for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy was extremely disappointing. However, Shreyas was in good touch on Tuesday as he bowled 95 off 111 balls and his celebration went viral on social media. Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was present during the Ranji Trophy final match against Vidarbha and it was a perfect time for Iyer to find some form. He seemed to have great control against the bowlers and scored a brave half-century.
Meanwhile, Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid has finally broken his silence over the loss of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan’s central contracts.
