Sikandar Kher spoke about the career guidance given by his mother, Kirron Kherand revealed that he never sought professional help from his parents, despite knowing that they have connections in the film industry.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Sikandar shared that his mother, Kirron Kher, gave him reassurance at the beginning of his career, affirming his abilities as an actor. When reflecting on his aspirations to become a superstar, he acknowledged that while he never received explicit feedback indicating that he had not been successful, he felt unspoken doubts. Despite this, he appreciated the kindness of others and encouragement from him, although he admitted that he often doubted his sincerity. The opinions he valued most were those of the home, particularly those of his mother, whom he described as brutally honest.

The actor also revealed that Kirron once expressed confidence in his acting abilities and encouraged him to persevere, assuring him that if acting was not his forte, they would have supported him in another endeavor, such as putting on a petrol pump.

Sikandar mentioned that he has never sought help from either Kirron or Anupam to defend him. He emphasized that they don’t offer script advice because they understand the importance of actors learning from their own experiences, including mistakes. They are cautious about recommending projects that might not be successful, recognizing the unpredictability of the industry. Sikandar highlighted that they are wise enough to recognize that their journey is their own. He recognized the exhilaration of success and the disappointment of failure, and urged awareness of both aspects of his career.

Sikandar Kher entered the acting scene in 2008 with his first film ‘Woodstock Villa’. Despite facing a period of waning popularity, he experienced a resurgence by landing supporting roles in streaming projects like ‘Aarya’ and ‘Monica, O My Darling’. Expressing his passion for acting, he emphasized his desire to continue honing his craft. Sikandar also acknowledged the transformative impact of the streaming industry, which has not only provided abundant opportunities for actors but also directors and writers, thereby enriching the landscape of the entertainment industry.
