Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Tuesday that the incentive provided to Taylor Swift to make Singapore the only Southeast Asian stop on her world tour was not a hostile act toward her neighbors.
“(Our) agencies negotiated an agreement with her to come to Singapore and perform and make Singapore her only stop in Southeast Asia,” Lee said at a press conference in Melbourne.
“It has turned out to be a very successful agreement. I don’t see it as anything hostile.”
