“Sister Wives” star Janelle Brown shared her last family photo taken before the tragic death of her son Garrison. She died at age 25 of an apparent suicide on March 5.
Janelle, 54, and her ex-husband and fellow TLC reality star Kody Brown, 55, raised six children together: daughters Madison and Savannah, and sons Garrison, Gabriel, Logan and Hunter.
Madison’s three children, Axel, Evie and Josephine, as well as her husband, Caleb, also appear in the outdoor snap Janelle shared Friday with instagram.
“I had all my kids together last Christmas,” Janelle wrote in the caption of the photo. “It was amazing as with everyone’s busy lives it’s hard to coordinate a time like this.”
She added: “I’m so grateful now that they took pictures of us.”
Janelle and Kody were married from 1993 to 2022. The polygamous family also included Kody’s ex-wives Christine and Meri, as well as Robyn, who is the only one still legally married to him. The group shares a total of 18 children.
Garrison was found dead in his Flagstaff, Arizona, apartment on Wednesday, reportedly from a single gunshot wound.
Before Garrison’s death, Janelle had allegedly heard that Garrison had sent a concerning text message to a group of people the Brown family works with, presumably on their TLC reality show, on Tuesday, and asked Gabriel to come over. Let’s see how it was.
“I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can not. I miss these days,” the text read, according to a report of the incident obtained by The Post.
Some of Garrison’s three roommates reportedly heard a pop Tuesday night, but did not suspect it was a gunshot. Gabriel was the one who found his brother dead when he arrived at the apartment on Wednesday and subsequently called the police.
Kody and Janelle released a joint statement via Instagram on Wednesday.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”
They added: “He was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew him. The loss of him will leave a void so big in our lives that it will take our breath away. “We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
One of Garrison’s roommates, Addison Miele, addressed his death in a statement Thursday.
“All I have to say is that he was a wonderful person who had nothing but positivity to give to others,” he said. Us weekly. “He helped me a lot when I needed a place to stay. He was a good friend and a good owner.”
“He’s a good person and someone I admire,” Miele added.
