‘SNL’ Weekend Update Tackles Taylor Swift Conspiracy, Trump’s Mounting Legal Bills

Saturday night liveThe weekend update took aim at the latest right-wing conspiracy theory, along with former President Donald Trump’s lofty legal bills.

“As you may have seen on your aunt’s Facebook, many MAGA personalities are claiming that the Super Bowl is being rigged so that Kansas City wins and Taylor Swift can take the field with Travis Kelce and endorse Joe Biden,” Colin Jost explained.

“Man, MAGA people have so many enemies to keep track of,” he continued, before rattling off a list that included Swift and “the NFL, Bud Light, Disney, Kristen Stewart (for some reason), electric stoves, windmills, the concept of rainbows and green m&m.”

Jost later turned to recent campaign documents showing that Trump’s PACs shelled out $50 million for his legal bills last year.

“And that’s with the worst and cheapest lawyers on the planet. “Can you imagine spending $50 million on people who just lost $83.3 million?” He joked, referring to the accused former president’s huge defamation verdict last week.

“I mean, this lawyer did such a bad job in court,” Jost continued, as a photo of Alina Habba appeared on the screen, “that I thought her real name was ‘Overruled Sitdown.’”

Habba, as well as Trump himself, were repeatedly reprimanded by the judge in the defamation case.
