Snoop Dogg has many titles; rapper, actor and businessman, to name a few, but the one he loves the most is his grandfather.
The 52-year-old, whose daughter Cori, 24, was released from hospital following a “serious stroke”, spoke about his grandchildren when he appeared on Jennifer Hudson. Show to promote his new movie.
‘Well, I was trying to imagine Snoop as a grandfather. So how many grandchildren do you really have? the host asked.
“Actually, I have a total of 12 grandchildren,” he responded. ’12?’ the Oscar winner repeated.
‘Yes, yes I do. And they are of different ages, ranges, sizes and I love them all the same.’
“Actually, my oldest grandson, his birthday is today, so I’ll be on my way to his birthday party when I leave here.” he told the audience.
“He’s turning 9, that’s Zion Broadus,” Snoop explained.
Jennifer asked the My Family artist what his grandchildren called him.
The Doggyland star explained that Zion was the first to propose a title.
‘He used to call me Papa Noop, because he couldn’t say Snoop, so he started calling me Papa Noop. And then, as time went on, he learned to say Snoop, so now I’m Dad Snoop.
In an interview with People In June 2023, rapper Kush spoke about what affection meant to him.
‘Dad!’ “That shit means the world to me to be called that because I had a dad,” she explained.
“My grandfather was my best friend and for me to be my best friend to my grandchildren shows that I really did well and was able to survive the circumstances.”
‘Now I can look back: I can teach those who want to reach this level. Or at least give them a blueprint and help them avoid some of the pitfalls I had to deal with.’
The multi-hyphenate has also been celebrating the success of his latest project, The Underdoggs. He plays a failed soccer player sentenced to coach a pee team to perform community service.
The comedy co-starring Mike Epps and a group of adorable young actors is now streaming on Prime Friday.
