Sophie Turner has filed papers asking a judge to “reactivate” her divorce case with Joe Jonas after attempts to resolve child custody and property failed.
Miami court documents filed by the “Game of Thrones” alum and obtained by Page Six state “that the reduction has come to an end and this case will be reactivated.”
A representative for Jonas did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from Turner, 28, in Miami in September 2023 after four years of marriage, claiming that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
The breakup quickly turned sour, when the “Do Revenge” actress countersued the “Cake by the Ocean” singer in New York Federal Court alleging that he had kidnapped her daughters by withholding their passports.
“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” Jonas’ rep said at the time.
“When language like ‘kidnapping’ is used, it is at best misleading and at worst a gross abuse of the legal system.
Turner and band member Jonas Brothers finally reached a temporary child custody agreement in the fall under which their two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 21 months, would be shuttled back and forth between the United Kingdom. United States and the United States during the Christmas season.
“After productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend equal time in loving homes in both the United States and the United Kingdom. We look forward to being great co-parents,” the former couple said in a joint statement in October.
Turner finally dropped the kidnapping allegations in January after the US judge approved the dismissal of the filing once both stars signed a consent plan that had recently been approved by a UK judge.
Both Turner and Jonas have moved on romantically: the former is dating aristocrat Peregrine Pearson and the latter has been having an affair with model Stormi Bree.
