South film actress Arundhathi Nair suffered a serious bicycle accident and her condition is said to be critical.

The accident occurred on March 14 while film actress Saithan was traveling on a bike with her brother from the Chennai Kovalam Bypass.

Arundhathi’s sister Arathy Nair confirmed the news of the tragic accident and said that Arundhathi is on a ventilator.

In a post on Instagram, Arathy Nair wrote, “We feel the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu newspapers and television channels. It is true that my sister Arundhathi Nair met with an accident three days ago; She “is seriously injured and is fighting for her life as she is kept on a ventilator at Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum.”

Arundhathi made her acting debut in 2014 with the film ‘Ponge Ezhu Manohara’. She became a popular face in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Saithan’. In 2018, she starred alongside Shine Tom Chacko in Ottakoru Kamukan. She was last seen in Aayiram Porkaasukal in 2023.

Seeking financial help from followers and fans, actor Gopika Anil, a friend of Arundhathi, wrote on Instagram: “My friend @arundhathi.nair_ met with an accident the previous day and is in a very critical condition. As he fights for life on a ventilator, the daily hospital bills are becoming too much to bear. We are doing our part, but it seems insufficient to meet current hospital needs. I request you all to kindly contribute in any way you can so that it will be of great help to your family. Thank you so much.”
