Sea Hear Now, New Jersey’s big local rock festival, announced its 2024 lineup on Tuesday, which will once again hit the Jersey Shore later this summer.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (Sunday) and folk-pop star Noah Kahan (Saturday) will headline the two-day event, which returns to Asbury Park Beach and neighboring Bradley Park on September 14-15. Boss’s biggest concert ever in Asbury Park, the city where he found his famous voice and formed the E Street Band.

Sunday’s headlining show will be Springsteen and the band’s first proper concert in Asbury Park since a series of Christmas benefit shows at Convention Hall in 2003. The band has used the hall and the neighboring Paramount Theater for private rehearsals (with assignments occasional public meetings) over the years. . Springsteen also performed Paramount as a surprise guest during the annual Light of Day benefit show, most recently in 2020.

But their involvement in a sprawling event like this one in Asbury Park is new, especially since the cultural revitalization of Asbury Park over the past two decades.

Also scheduled for the three Sea Hear Now stages are The Black Crowes, 311, The Gaslight Anthem and New Jersey’s Trey Anastasio (separate sets), Norah Jones and many more. See the full lineup here or below.

Two-day general admission tickets start at $265. Single-day tickets will also be available, starting at $160. Ticket pre-sale begins Thursday at 10 a.m. festival website. Register now to get a pre-sale code. This event will sell out.

Sea Hear Now, which since its inception in 2018 has earned a reputation as a boutique festival of eclectic music and laid-back beach vibes, typically draws between 30,000 and 35,000 fans a day to the coast. In 2023, fans complained of overcrowding, inconsistent sound, and lack of response to emergency situations.

Last year’s headliners were Foo Fighters and The Killers, supported by Weezer, the Beach Boys, Sheryl Crowe and more. In 2022, it was Green Day and Stevie Nicks who led the bill. In 2021, for the pandemic comeback event, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins headlined the bill. There was no Sea Hear Now in 2020, but in 2019 there were Dave Matthews Band and the Lumineers, and for the inaugural festival in 2018 there were Jack Johnson and Incubus (with a Bruce Springsteen appearance during the Social Distortion set).
