stardew valley Creator Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has revealed a single patch note for the upcoming 1.6 update, and it’s already being hailed as a “game changer.”
in a cheepConcernedApe shared that he had recently started working on the official patch notes for Stardew Valley update 1.6, and he generously shared one of those notes with his fans.
It says: “Cutting down a fruit tree now produces the appropriate fruit shoot. If the tree is mature (i.e. the quality of the fruit is > basic), it will produce a shoot with the same quality as its fruit. The higher the quality, The faster the shoot will mature when it is replanted.”
Basically, as of update 1.6, fruit tree saplings now have a quality rating equal to that of the fruit from the tree that spawned them. ConcernedApe clarified in a follow-up cheep that the sapling will take time to develop into a tree before it can bear fruit, but it will do so faster than normal depending on the quality of the tree from which it sprouted. He also confirmed that the tree will not immediately produce fruit of the same quality as the previous tree, but it appears that it will at least progress more quickly through the quality stages.
The Stardew community’s response to the change has been unified and enthusiastically positive, as it will allow players to rearrange the layout of their farms by cutting down old trees and without having to shell out for new saplings and wait a long time for them. to mature.
This is going to drastically change the goal of fruit trees.March 11, 2024

This is a welcome change, I have some fruit trees that I need to reorganize but I have been putting it off because I didn’t want to spend money for new saplings.March 11, 2024

More than three years after its last full-scale update, Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update is finally launching on March 19 for PC, and it’s shaping up to be much, much bigger than originally anticipated. In fact, ConcernedApe has said that there are so many new things to discover that it would be better to start a completely new save file.
The Stardew Valley creator recently said he doesn’t think he’ll ever “officially close the book” on the farming simulator.
