Suns’ Devin Booker misses loss to Thunder with ankle sprain

Booker sprained his ankle late in the Suns’ loss to the Houston Rockets Saturday night after his feet became tangled with a teammate Royce O’Neale. He limped off the court and did not return.

Suns coach Frank Vogel said the X-rays were negative.

O’Neale also suffered a sprained right ankle in the game, but started for Booker in Sunday’s game. Jusuf Nurkicwho left the game against Houston with a sprained neck in the second quarter, and Bradley Bealwho returned from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury but only played 20 minutes in Saturday’s loss due to an ejection, both also started.

The loss left the Suns behind the Kings of Sacramento for the number 7 spot in the Western Conference.
