Sydney Sweeney Mocks Glen Powell Affair Rumors During ‘SNL’ Opening Monologue

Sydney Sweeney refuses to let critics have the last word.

The “Euphoria” star mocked affair rumors between her and Glen Powell during his “Saturday Night Live” opening monologue as she addresses “some things” she’s seen about herself online.

“The craziest rumor I’ve ever seen is that while I was filming ‘Anyone But You,’ I was having an affair with my co-star Glen Powell,” she said while laughing. “That’s obviously not true. My fiancé (Jonathan Davino) and I produced the movie together and he was there for the entire shoot.

“And I just want everyone to know that he is the man of my dreams and that we are still together and stronger than ever. He even came here tonight to support me.”

Looking at the camera crew, Sweeney, 26, continued: “Can we cut to him?”

The camera then focused on Powell, 35, who was sitting among audience members and had a shocked expression on his face as the camera focused on him.

“That’s not my fiancé!” the actress joked. “He’s in my dressing room and we have a great show for you tonight!”

Sweeney and Powell later paired for another segmentwho saw the “White Lotus” star having dinner with her boyfriend.

“I cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up,” the “White Lotus” star told her partner.

Powell then appeared at the couple’s table and said, “Hey babycakes, do you want to come out here?”

Cheers erupted from the crowd as the duo left together.

Last year, the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor and Sweeney’s friendship came under scrutiny when fans noticed their undeniable chemistry while filming their 2023 romantic comedy.

Romance rumors between the co-stars increased when Powell dumped his now-ex-girlfriend Gigi Paris in April 2023, prompting her to unfollow him and Sweeney on social media.

Around the same time, Davino, 38, was also photographed leaving Sweeney’s Los Angeles home with his dog and luggage in tow.

However, the “Madame Web” star and Powell continued to quell rumors of their alleged romance while promoting their highly anticipated film.
