Another celebrity is moving out of California, according to multiple reports.
Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, confirmed that they will be moving to Florida in the premiere of the second season of “The Family Stallone,” streaming on Paramount+.
During the episode, the couple informed their three daughters that they are moving to the Sunshine State.
“After long and hard consideration, your mother and I have decided that it is time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we are going to Florida,” Stallone said.
Stallone bought a 13,241-square-foot home in Palm Beach for $35.58 million in 2020, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
“We’re going to sell the house,” Stallone told his daughters, Scarlet, 21, Sistine, 25, and Sophia, 27. “We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”
The wife of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Casey, took X –formerly Twitter – to welcome Sylvester and Jennifer.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” DeSantis posted. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having it unlocked by an armed guard at CVS,” followed by a raised hands emoji.
The couple made the decision to move from California because they became empty nesters after their three daughters moved out of the family home, according to People.com.
“I raised our three daughters in California,” Jennifer said during the episode. “Everything is a memory for me, memories that they are no longer there. “So I needed a big change and Sly accepted it.”
Jennifer added that she and her family have made many memories in the state, but now that her three daughters have moved away, she felt like she needed a change.
Later in the episode, the “Rocky” actor admitted that it took him a while to agree to make the change.
“We have a lot of roots in California, so it’s not an easy transition to Florida,” Stallone said in a confessional. “But Jennifer really had her heart in it. I gave in.”
The couple has been married since 1997. Jennifer Flavin Stallone filed for divorce in 2022, but the couple reconciled shortly after.
